Joint pain is a very common problem. Sometimes you can even have it and not know that the pain and stiffness you are experiencing is actually a joint problem.

This was me a few years ago. I just thought I was getting old and that stiffness and pain was part of the aging process.

When I eventually got round to having a check up at the doctor’s because some sharpness had crept in – and after some diagnostic tests at the hospital – I found out I had been suffering from arthritis of the hip for about 15 years!

Yep, you heard it right … 15 years. The cartilage had been gradually breaking up until it had come to the point of no return and the later stages, osteoarthritis treatment, hip replacement had become necessary.

Stiffness Pain and Joint Relief

Almost everyone has or will experience joint pain and stiffness somewhere in the body at some point in time. Any pain is frightening and you may also be afraid to move your affected areas for fear you’ll injure yourself further, right? You may worry that you may never regain normal functioning and you may be shaken when your doctor starts suggesting tests with high-tech, hard-to-pronounce names.

However if you catch it early enough you can actually do something to prevent further damage. So don’t be like me, just ‘putting up with’ the pain and discomfort until it needs surgical intervention to fix things. Get an early diagnosis and go the healing and prevention route.

At later stages of joint degeneration you may be looking more at pain management, at least for a while.

Depending on the level and gravity of damaged occurring in the joint, relief for joint pain may be suggested or provided  in different forms,. The graver the intensity of the damage that has occurred in the joints, the more serious and invasive the treatment that may be needed.

Natural Pain and Joint Relief Or Drugs and Gels?

  • Topical pain relief. If the intensity of the damage is not that serious, it canbe relieved by the use of joint pain natural relief creams, gels, therapies and other alternative natural healing remedies. This form of relief is often less expensive than the high cost of taking regular drugs and medications and is usually less risky in terms of side effects too.
  • One  form of temporary relief available in the market nowadays is joint & muscle pain relief spray which is affordable and offers a quick and effective relief, but is usually made up of ingredients like ibuprofen which can have side effects.

All you have to do is to spray it on the affected area and after a while, you’ll feel a cool sensation, relieving you from the pain. You can also use a deep heat rub or gel, which has been found to be quite effective.

With the use of  natural methods of relieving yourself from the pain caused by the traumatized and stressed or degenerative joints you can still achieve a total and effective joint relief and start to move about normally again, without ant side effects.

This is what I did. The choice is there for you whether you go the conventional or alternative route. But because I managed to find some very successful ways to relieve my pain naturally, I decided to set up this blog to share my findings with you.

  • The foods that you eat and the things that you do greatly affect your health and well – being. So one of the first things I would suggest is to support yourself by focusing on eating healthily – including eating foods that are good at reducing inflammation and lubricating the joints.
  • Exercising regularly (as much as you can manage). There can be a temptation sometimes, to stop exercising, especially when you are in pain. It is almost a natural response. When we are in pain most of us just wanna curl up, keep warm and rest as much as we can.

The problem with this, though is that the muscles and tendons, which are there to support the joints, can end up not working so well, because they need exercise to thrive.This can cause further pain and so the downward spiral continues. It would be much better, in my opinion to do some exercise (without overdoing it – now your limits)

  • Pamper yourself, especially after a bout of exercise, with a warm bath, maybe with a few essential oils added, for a deeply relaxing session. So the idea is to tone your muscles and also to get some deep relaxation.

These things contribute much to the care and strengthening of your muscles and joints and even your immune system. Remember that when the muscles and joints are torn and worn down, or atrophy due to lack of exercise and unhealthy lifestyle, they become more difficult to cure. Both muscle and joint pain relief can be undertaken simultaneously, but the effects of conventional drugs may vary. The positive effects gained by taking medication for the joints may not be that effective when it comes to the muscles and vice versa.

Pain Control at Your Fingertips

For me, what was most effective for instant natural pain relief  – and a method that I use even now whenever I have any health issue to deal with – is Eft Therapy. For me it was a deeply healing process and gave me many hours of hip pain relief. Even now it helps me to connect with a very peaceful and happy place inside. I love to meditate and would highly recommend it to anyone.
